This exhibition proposes a collection of printmaking artworks that serve as a visual commentary on the political and social climate from 2016 to 2021. This period was marked by unprecedented events, polarizing discourse, and shifting narratives worldwide, with a particular focus on the U.S. political landscape. Through the art of printmaking, this exhibition seeks to capture the echoes of these years as they happened, drawing from political speeches, protests, social media and news coverage. Each print in this series incorporates imagery, text, and symbolism to create a dialogue on themes that will use the power of printmaking to distill the cacophony of the past few years into images that invite reflection and dialogue. Through this, the exhibition aims not only to document, but also to question and encourage a deeper conversation on how rhetoric and media have shaped our collective experience during 2016-2021 and now the present.

This series, I seek to shed light on the profound beauty and significance of the farmers' way of life, their rich culture, traditions, and customs that are slowly fading away in the face of modern capitalism. These farmers, who once held the heartbeat of our society, are now being marginalized and devalued, seen as inferior to others merely due to their inability to conform to the allure of consumerism and the relentless pursuit of profit. Through my artwork, I aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia and reflection, urging viewers to reexamine the societal values we have adopted under the influence of rampant capitalism. Our relentless pursuit of material wealth has overshadowed the profound wisdom and simplicity embedded within the farmers' way of life, a life that will soon be a legend.
